MAS (Member Average Service) Challenge = 1,502 minutes per member of Direct Community Service as of 2018-Aug-16 (not including meetings, fundraising, fellowship, or internal club service) "If you can't measure it, you can't improve it." – Peter Drucker We value what we measure. We value direct community service enough to measure it :-) Rotary EClub of Upstate NY welcomes you: This is our new simple free google website which we encourage you to copy. (old site) We focus on doing acts of service.
If you like driving to meetings and sitting around a table paying to
eat a meal, then it might be best to join a traditional club with fixed
weekly meetings. If you would rather focus on doing service with a
flexible schedule, then please consider becoming either a member of our club or an eRotary Friend .
With either choice, we have much to share, teach, and offer which you
can bring to other groups with which you participate. The future is
going towards flexible electronic options, so it is best to learn and
adapt before being left behind. is 2018-19 Presidential theme of RI President Barry Rassin who asks
Rotarians to inspire change in the world and in each other with
statements like:
“I ask all of you to Be the Inspiration to help
Rotary move from reaction to action — to take a hard look at the
environmental issues that affect health and welfare around the world and
do what we can to help.”
“… if you want to build a better world, you have to
awaken the souls of your Rotarians — to their own ability, and their own
potential, and to the longing inside each and every one of us.”
“I want you to inspire in your clubs, your
Rotarians, that desire for something greater. The drive to do more, to
be more, to create something that will live beyond each of us.”
Vision Statement:
“Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create
lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in
ourselves.” -RI Board on June 2017
